Step 1: Learn the Basics
Our new series, Learn to Sew, begins with the basics. This video lesson explains basic sewing terms and supplies and guides you through the making of samples of important techniques you will need as you move forward. To help you get started, you will find the Must Have and Wish List supply list discussed in video linked below for your convenience.

Step 2: Sew Either Lucy or Johnny
Look for the 1 Thimble rating as you make your choices. We organize our patterns and video lessons by this difficulty rating. Lucy and Johnny are great first projects to put your skills to the test! We have video lessons available for both that walk you through every step of the process, and with our video lessons you can pause, rewind, and rewatch as many times as you need to as you sew your garment.
Step 3: Join Our Facebook Group & Read Our Blog
We have a wealth of knowledge and resources available to you. This blog has many stories, videos, and ideas to inspire your future sewing. Our Facebook group is a group of enthusiastic sewists who are more than willing to swap ideas and help each other with a variety of questions. We encourage you to join in the fun!
