Dotted Swiss Julia with Embroidered Edging

Trimming the yoke on Julia with this stunning Swiss edging creates a beautiful look for spring and summer. Follow these brief changes to the Julia pattern to achieve this look.

Instructions

*This look requires additional fabric yardage. Add 1/2 yard for sizes 6mo–6 or 3/4 yard for sizes 7–14 to the listed fabric requirements.

1. Use front and back bodice lining pieces to cut BOTH dress and lining bodices. You will be eliminating the princess seams. You will not cut the cap sleeves.


2. The skirt and skirt linings are gathered as opposed to pleated. The skirts and skirt linings are basted together and handled as one but hemmed separately.  Use the chart below for skirt sizes.

Use chart below to cut ruffle. The hem allowance is now 2 1/4”.  Press under 1/4” and turn up 2” and hem.
