Row By Row

Updated: Jun 7, 2023

Our shop participated in the Row by Row Experience from 2016-2019. These quilt patterns are available as digital download patterns on our website. Happy quilting!

What is Row by Row?

With a primary goal to encourage customers to visit and experience the many delightful fabric stores across the country, Row by Row Experience began in 2011 with 20 quilt shops across New York State.

2016: Washday

Designed for the summer 2016, Washday is inspired by "home" and our love of delicate children's clothing. Our row features several hand embroidery techniques and highlights fabrics from our store including Liberty of London. Add this design to a quilt, or us the appliqué for a darling addition to her garment.

2017: Let's Go Fly A Kite

This is our pattern from summer of 2017 Row by Row Experience. Inspired by the theme "On the Go" we introduce you to Sally, a girl who loves to fly her kite. Summer is a carefree time to run and play. We hope Sally helps you remember what it feels like to run along a grassy field or sandy beach and watch your kite take flight. You can't help but smile as you watch the kite climb higher and higher.

While this can be used in a quilt, we also see our "row" pattern as a fun project to add to a Lillian or down the side of Parker's Pants. To adapt to a dress, size the pattern pieces down by about 50% (depending on size). This sample is a size 3 Children's Corner Lillian made by Claudia Sullivan.

2018: Nashville Sounds

Inspired by this year's theme "Sew Musical," we felt privileged to be surrounded by some of music's greatest singers, songwriters and performers right here in Music City. Our row, designed by Chris Schulte, highlights fabrics from our store including Liberty of London to make this floral guitar. While this can be used in a quilt, we also see our "row" pattern as a fun project to add to a Harper.

2019: How Sweet It is

Inspired by this year's theme "Taste the Experience" and our love for Liberty we created a scrumptious row for you to add to your quilt. Our row, designed by Chris Schulte, highlights fabrics from our store including our favorite Liberty of London. Seen in both Vanilla (Ribbon Bloom) or Chocolate (Tatum J) Liberty cake flavors. Could be made as a birthday cake wall hanging or made into a pillow! Click here to learn how to sew this quilt block!
