Our friend designed a LIBERTY fabric!

For many of us, few things in life compare to the joy of sewing with Liberty of London fabrics. Their iconic Tana Lawn-light as air, silky to the touch, and effortlessly beautiful-turns every project into something extraordinary. But recently, one of our longtime customers, Heathie, had an experience that took that joy to an entirely new level.

Heathie received a once-in-a-lifetime invitation to do something most of us only dream about: collaborate directly with the designers at Liberty of London. Not only was she involved in creating a new print, but she also had the rare honor of naming it herself.

This journey began over two years ago, ahead of Liberty's Autumn/Winter 2025 collection. The design team reached out to Heathie to learn about her favorite Liberty prints, color palettes, and memorable sewing projects from over the years. Through those conversations, she helped shape a print that reflects her personal aesthetic and love for timeless, delicate design.

What makes this story even sweeter is Heathie's inspiration: her three daughters, who make up the name of the print Nell, Annie & May. Many of her most cherished sewing memories are from making clothes for them when they were little. That heartwarming spirit shines through in the new print-which, as luck would have it, is absolutely perfect for classic children's clothing.

Heathie told us, “It was such a fun process to work with Liberty…and when we finally saw the fabric on the shelves - instantly we began dreaming up projects to sew with the fabric! Pajamas and clothes for today, and each girl has set aside pieces for the future.”

We're thrilled to carry Nell, Annie & May in all three stunning colorways (while supplies last) — and trust us, you'll want to sew something special.
