Victoria with Embroidered Collar

The Victoria dress provides a beautiful place to show off hand embroidery. In this example, we made the sleeveless version of Victoria, and made the collar with white pique. The collar is piped in the same Liberty of London Tatum print giving the collar a crisp sweet finish.
We have several resources for embroidery by hand. These books have beautiful photographs and easy-to-follow instructions.
For ease in completing your hand work, draw the outline of your collar on the white pique. Using an embroidery hoop, work your hand embroidery stitches on the collar. Cut out the collar and following the construction instructions provided in the Victoria pattern to complete the look.
